The Casino Licence Dataset
We mirror 18 official licensing registers and 3 regulator blocked-site lists to power our licence checker. Once a quarter we publish the whole index as a downloadable snapshot — currently 6,756 entries, snapshot 2026-07-27. Free for research and journalism, with attribution.
The live index behind the checker updates continuously and is not part of these downloads — snapshots age up to a quarter by design.

What's inside
One JSON file per quarter: a metadata wrapper plus an entries array. Each entry is one row from a regulator's own published register or blocked-site list.

Snapshots, not live status. Every status is the regulator's own classification at the snapshot date. Licences get suspended, restored and renewed between quarters — verify anything decision-critical against the live register, or through our licence checker, which runs on the continuously-updated index.
Blocked-site rows are market access, not safety. Rows with x come from national blocked-site lists; properly licensed international brands appear on them simply for serving a market without the local licence.
Cadences differ. Some registers update daily, some quarterly, and some (notably the Kahnawà:ke permit table) lag their regulator's advisory notices. Our quarterly enforcement report analyses what changed between snapshots.
