Write for TopCasinoScout
TopCasinoScout is an independent casino watchdog. We publish original, evidence-led writing that helps players gamble more safely — and we work with a small, vetted group of contributors who hold themselves to that same standard.
If you write with genuine subject-matter depth and care about player protection, we'd like to read your pitch. This page explains who we look for, what we publish, the standards every contribution is held to, and how author credit works. Please read it in full before getting in touch — it tells you quickly whether we're the right home for your work.
Who we're looking for
We value demonstrable expertise and first-hand experience over volume. You may be a good fit if you're a:
- Casino or iGaming writer with real depth in the industry, not just SEO output.
- Consumer-protection or responsible-gambling advocate with a player-first perspective.
- Compliance, AML, payments or licensing specialist who can explain complex rules plainly.
- Data analyst or investigative researcher who works from evidence.
- Journalist covering gambling, fintech or consumer affairs.
What we publish
Our readers come to us for honest, player-first information. If your idea helps someone make a safer, better-informed decision, we want to hear it. Strong areas include:
Player safety & consumer protection
Practical guidance that helps players avoid unfair or unsafe operators.
Responsible gambling
Harm-reduction tools, self-exclusion, policy and player wellbeing.
Payments & withdrawals
How cash-outs, fees and KYC actually work in practice.
Licensing & regulation
Plain-English explainers on regulators, licences and player rights.
Bonus & wagering analysis
Honest breakdowns of bonus terms, wagering and the real value behind offers.
Investigations & data
Original research, measured findings and market analysis.
Our editorial standards
Every contribution is held to the same standards as our in-house work:
- Original and exclusive — not published, or due to be published, anywhere else.
- Accurate and sourced — claims backed by verifiable, reputable references.
- Experience-led — real insight, not lightly reworded press releases.
- Aligned with responsible gambling — never encouraging or normalising harmful play.
- Human-written — we do not accept AI-generated or spun filler.
We fact-check, edit for clarity and house style, and may request revisions or decline a piece. To understand the bar, read our rating methodology and editorial policy.
What we don't accept
To protect our readers and our independence, we decline:
- Thinly disguised advertising or sponsored placements dressed up as editorial.
- Direct promotional or affiliate links to casinos or operators.
- Content written primarily to obtain a backlink, including keyword-stuffed filler.
- Topics outside our niche, or anything already published elsewhere.
- Submissions that fail a plagiarism or originality check.
Author credit & links
We're glad to credit good work. Published contributors receive:
- A visible byline and a short author bio.
- One credited link to your own site or professional profile.
In line with our site-wide linking policy, contributor and author links are marked nofollow, and any external links are added at our editorial discretion. We do not sell links, placements or do-follow backlinks, and we don't accept payment to publish. If link acquisition is your main goal, we're honestly not the right fit — and we'd rather say so up front than waste your time.
How to pitch
Send a short pitch first rather than a finished article. Please include:
- Your proposed topic and angle in a sentence or two.
- A brief outline, or a draft if you already have one.
- One or two samples of your published work.
- A line about who you are and your relevant experience.
We read every submission. If it's a fit, we'll usually reply within 10–14 days; given the volume we receive, we can't always respond to every pitch individually.
